Kensington Emergency Site: Kensington Community Centre

Nestled into beautiful Kensington Park (6.39 hectares) and located at Knight Street and East 37th Avenue, Kensington Community Centre was opened in 1980 and offers a wide variety of recreational activities for all ages. Specialty program spaces include a fitness centre, preschool, pottery studio, gymnasium, dance studio, meeting rooms and a leisure swimming pool perfect for beginners and lesson participants. A 5000 sq ft addition in 2001 provided much needed space for a senior's lounge and other popular programs. Outside, Kensington Park is the site of sand-based playing fields and a playground. Best of all is the view of the north shore mountains from this highly positioned greenspace.
