Renfrew Park Emergency Site: Renfrew Park Community Centre

Picturesquely situated on the south end of lovely Renfrew Ravine Park, Renfrew Park Community Centre was opened in 1963 and offers an active complex of facilities to serve the growing Renfrew-Collingwood neighbourhood. This area is home to the city's highest population of children and youth and fastest growing seniors population. Numerous languages are spoken throughout the community and its ethnicity is celebrated through a variety of diverse and vibrant cultural events.

A variety of programs and services for all ages are on-tap including a preschool, gym and sport activities, a games area, aerobics, fitness, martial arts, community art projects and special events. Leadership programs for youth are also offered here in cooperation with other agencies. The community centre's facilities include: a fitness centre, indoor swimming pool, sauna and whirlpool as well as room rentals for socials, meetings and community events. Summer programs are organized outdoors at four playgrounds (some with wading pools) at nearby parks.

The Renfrew Park indoor swimming pool has had an extensive renovation and upgrade and a small expansion to the fitness centre. A two-floor elevator has made the centre much more accessible.
