Nestled on the extreme east side of Vancouver just east of Broadway and Rupert Street, Thunderbird Community Centre is conveniently attached to Thunderbird Elementary School offering low and no cost recreational opportunities to the immediate neighbourhood. A nearby playground and School Board shared play field afford easy access to outdoor recreational pursuits. A host of programs and services are offered here for all ages from pre-school and after school care programs to activities for youth, adults and seniors to an onsite family worker. The Skill/Support Experience Employment Program provides free workshops and weekly Job Club meetings along with the popular café and catering training course. Other amenities at Thunderbird include a weight room, a games room for the likes of badminton, billiards and more, plus special events and programs for youth.

A recent award winning second story addition to the centre now affords a perfect perch for 180 degree floor to ceiling views of the north shore mountains and Mount Baker.
